No word from Dulan’s kidnappers

FRUSTRATION is mounting for relatives of abducted South businessman, Premanand Dulan, because his kidnappers have not been contacting the family. A relative said yesterday that since Dulan was kidnapped more than two weeks ago, the telephone calls to the family from the kidnappers have been fewer.

Dulan, owner of a clothing and variety store on High Street, San Fernando, was abducted on March 19 while walking his dog nearby his house. Relatives have denied that the kidnapping might be linked to a family dispute. Dulan’s family was ordered to pay a $2 million ransom to ensure his safe return.  However, the ransom was not paid by the deadline set by the kidnappers. The Anti-Kidnapping Squad is continuing investigations.
