Blue Basin man shot dead

As the murder rate continues to climb, 19-year-old Simba Taitt of Seasan Trace, Blue Basin, Diego Martin, was gunned down on Sunday night as he limed with friends. According to reports, Taitt, a landscaper, was liming with a group of friends at about 9.30 pm on North Post Road, Diego Martin, when two armed men dressed in black walked up to him. Reports state that the men opened fire on Taitt before making off on foot.

Taitt, who was shot nine times about the body, made a bid to escape his attackers and ran into a nearby yard where he collapsed and died.
Officers from the West End Police Station visited the scene including Sgt Duncan and Asp Gonzales. Police have deemed the killing drug-related. Investigations are continuing.
