Two in court for sex with teen

TWO men yesterday appeared before a South magistrate charged with having sex with a teenager, which police allege, had been taking place for over a year. The accused Point Fortin men, aged 18 and 27 were not called on to enter a plea when they appeared before Senior Magistrate Herbert Charles in the Point Fortin First Court, since the charges were laid indictably.

The younger of the accused was granted $25,000 bail while the other was denied bail. It is alleged that the men had sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl between September 1, 2002 and March. The teenaged accused had his matter adjourned to April 7 while the other man was ordered to return to court on June 30.
