Beckles brings water to 200 families
PUBLIC UTILITIES and Environment Minister Pennelope Beckles has been praised for successfully providing some 200 families in the Guaico Tamana area with a regular supply of water. The praise was contained in a March 15 letter from Sou-Sou Lands Cooperative Society Ltd director, Lennox Sankersingh, who also asked Beckles for assistance in obtaining water connections to three other Sou-Sou Land projects in Penal, Carlsen Field and Las Lomas.
Sankersingh said: “About three months ago, our Cunapo Project situated at 3 ? miles on the Guaico Tamana Road was given a water connection. We thank your department for this. Over 200 families are now benefitting from this.” He also acknowledged efforts by Beckles to have the Water and Sewerage Authority provide a water connection “to our Morvant project situated at Laventille Road, Fabeau Village.”
“We are presently seeking your help to provide water to our residents at our Penal, Carlsen Field and Las Lomas Projects on which hundreds of persons have already built houses,” Sankersingh added.
