Man critical after stabbing

A 29-YEAR-OLD man remains warded in serious condition after being stabbed in his head with a piece of glass at a bar on Wednesday night. Visham Ramnarine, of Lengua Village, Princes Town, was liming at a bar in St Croix Road at about 7.45 pm on Wednesday, when a man accosted him.


Police said the man smashed a glass bottle on Ramnarine’s head and proceeded to stab him in the head with the broken head of the bottle. The attacker then fled the scene as a badly bleeding Ramnarine slumped to the ground. A report was made to police and Ramnarine was taken to San Fernando General Hos-pital where he was treated and admitted to Ward 8 in critical condition. Up to yesterday, no arrests had been made. Princes Town police are continuing investigations.
