PM at Holy Week mass in Trinity Cathedral

Prime Minister Patrick Manning and his wife, Education Minister Hazel Manning, yesterday attended the special Chrism Mass at the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Manning, who has attended services every day at the Cathedral, yesterday did one of the readings at the mass. Anglican Bishop, Calvin Bess, was also in attendance at the service which was officiated by Dean Knolly Clarke.

There was a large turnout for yesterday’s service as members of the public, as well as persons on their lunch hour, took time out to be at the special service. At the Mass, the Anglicans blessed the holy oils used for ordination and the sacrament of the sick. Today, the Anglican community will observe Good Friday with masses at the Holy Trinity Cathedral at 7 am, 9 am, noon and 3 pm.
