Crash victims dad and son to be buried in same grave

Pradeep Lochan and his three year old son Cameron who died when the driver of a panel van crashed head-on with the vehicle Pradeep was driving on Thursday, will be buried in the same grave tomorrow at the Butler Cemetery in Penal. Both father and son were in a car heading east along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in the vicinity of Solo Beverages, when the driver of a panel van driven by Vishnu Maharaj swerved to avoid striking a pedestrian. He ran off the roadway and crashed headon into the vehicle Lochan was driving killing Lochan and three year old Cameron.

Baby Celeste Lochan who was in the back seat escaped without a scratch. Sally Bisnath, the widow of Pradeep and mother of Cameron said yesterday  she was still in shock over the two deaths. She hugged her miracle baby, three month-old Celeste, who survived the fatal accident. Celeste has been given another name”Lilly” because it was the name Cameron called her because he was unable to pronounce her name. The grieving Bisnath said that Celeste who survived the crash has given her the courage to face each new day. She said that while she could not come to terms with the two deaths she is happy that the Almighty spared the life of her daughter.

She intends to move on with her life, but she is sure that it will take a lifetime to deal with the agony of losing her husband and son. The 28-year old woman who is a director at Chaos International said that her husband was a wonderful person. She revealed that on the morning of the fatal accident, Pradeep dropped her off to work and was heading back to their Bamboo Village home when the accident occurred. She pointed out that she was informed of the deaths by a supervisor at her workplace. The incident left her numb, and in shock. She said that following the funeral tomorrow, she will contemplate her future.
