Easter parade battle in Couva

THE Couva South PNM Women’s League held its first annual Easter Bonnet Parade, Fashion Show  and Tea Party on Gloria Saturday at the Couva South PNM Constituency Office, La Croix Street, Couva. The event began at the Inshan Ali Promenade with the national anthem and prayers, after which the lone PNM Councillor Rhonda Bartholomew-John (California/Pt Lisas)  on the Couva Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation congratulated all those parents who brought out their children dressed in lovely Easter garments, for “our first Annual Easter Bonnet Competition.”

She was eagerly looking forward to next year “when we hope that the project would be brighter and better thus placing the party on a sounder footing for the next elections.” She advised all citizens of Couva South to “enjoy your Easter and work hard to make our district one of the best in the country.”
