CLICO VP passes on

Staff at Colonial Life Insurance Company (Trinidad) Ltd is today mourning the loss of one of their own in Russell Tesheira, sales and marketing vice president, who passed away early yesterday morning at a San Fernando hospital. Reports stated that Tesheira, who had undergone surgery on Tuesday, developed complications and died shortly after. In an interview with Newsday yesterday, company director Neil Jones spoke highly of Tesheira, noting that a nicer person could not be found anywhere.

Tesheira, who was also a national footballer, joined the company in the 1970s and was well liked by his co-workers. “Russell came into CLICO with Ian Garcia. Both of them were young footballers at the time and their nicknames were Grisham and Thunder. I used to help them with money to print the pamphlets for their games,” Jones said. “He eventually grew and grew until he reached the highest ranks in the company as vice president of sales and marketing and was loved by all. He is surely going to be missed in the company.”
