Robbie: Lara best ever

FORMER President Arthur NR Robinson yesterday hailed Brian Lara as the “best ever” as he extended his congratulations to Lara, for reclaiming the record for the highest individual score in Test cricket with his 400 not out last Monday at the Antigua Recreation Ground. Robinson, in a brief message, said Lara’s achievement “has elevated and inspired the people of Trinidad and Tobago and of the West Indies. You have proven to be not only the best batsman in the world but certainly the best ever!” Robinson reminded Lara “that your talent has been given to you by the Almighty God and no one can take it from you.”
