Four held in Ragoo kidnapping
FOUR men of Enterprise Village are currently assisting members of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad in their investigation into the kidnapping of teenager Joel Ragoo. The men, ranging between the ages of 25 and 32, were arrested in an early morning exercise on Saturday which was coordinated by ACP Virgil Wellington. Ragoo, 19, the son of businessman Suruj Ragoo, was kidnapped from his mother’s Chase Village, Chaguanas home last Wednesday evening. The kidnappers had originally demanded $5 million for Ragoo’s release, but yesterday reduced it to $2 million. The Ragoo family was allowed to talk to the teen on Sunday after they had become fearful when parts of a human body were found floating in the Guayamare River. Up to press time, the four suspects were lodged at the Homicide Division in Port-of-Spain.
