Seven held in police raids
Seven persons were arrested in an exercise carried out in the North Eastern Division over the weekend. Six persons were held for narcotic offences while a seventh person was held for larceny of a car. Two stolen vehicles were recovered by the officers. Reports revealed that one man was held driving a stolen vehicle which was taken away from the owner on Monday during a robbery in St Joseph.
Another car, which was stolen in San Juan on Saturday, was also recovered. The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt Waldron Bishop, and led by Inspector Ancil Coa and Sgt Keith Louison. Assistance came from Ag Cpl La Pierre, and PCS Mundo, Tony, Acres, and Knox. The exercise started at 3.40 pm on Saturday and ended at 6 am yesterday.
