Bandits steal $9,000 in electronics

BANDITS broke into the house of a Fyzabad man and escaped with nearly $9,000 in electronics over the weekend, police said. Stephen Charles, 47, of Guapo Road, secured his premises around 7 am and went to work. When he returned around 7 pm he discovered that his stereo, television, CD player, and video, as well as $800 was missing. Investigators said entry and exit was gained through a window on the eastern side of the building. Meanwhile, police are searching for four men who robbed a San Fernando man as he waited for a taxi in Penal.

Ravi Nadan, 24, was standing at Clarke Road, awaiting transportation when four men, including one armed with a knife, confronted him. The bandits robbed Nadan of his wallet containing $340, his driver’s permit, and ID card and escaped in a black B-12 Nissan Sentra. Penal Police are investigating. In another incident, a Siparia man is warded at hospital after being chopped during an argument. Dennis Arghargee, 38, of Quarry Village, was at La Brea Trace, when he had an argument with another man. The other man pulled out a cutlass and dealt Arghargee several chops about his body, then fled the scene. Arghargee is in stable condition at hospital. Siparia police are investigating.
