Popular dancer dies

John Daniel, retired Customs Officer, died at his Santa Cruz home on Wednesday night. He was a member of the Trinidad Folk Performance Company.  Aubrey Adams, artistic director of the Trinidad Folk Dance Performance Company, yesterday praised Daniel and extended condolences to his family. Adams recalled that Daniel toured all over the world with the dance company and performed with distinction. Adams said: “It is a tremendous loss. He was not only winning the world for us in dance but (winning) for Trinidad and Tobago.” Daniel’s funeral will take place tomorrow.
