FCB pays $125.3M dividend

FIRST CITIZENS Bank (FCB) has made its first dividend payment in the sum of $125.3 million to its shareholder, Government. The dividend cheque, made out in the exact sum of $125,307,000, was paid to the Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Christine Sahadeo, on April 26. The payment is the first dividend payment made by FCB after ten years of consistent growth. Last year, the bank performed exceptionally well and was publicly recognised by The Banker magazine as being first among local banks in “financial soundness.”
