Panday mourns Draper’s passing

OPPOSITION LEADER Basdeo Panday yesterday joined Prime Minister Patrick Manning in mourning the passing of former PNM government minister and Port-of-Spain North/St Ann’s West MP, Gordon Draper. Draper died at St Mary’s Hospital in London yesterday. Panday told Newsday that while he never interacted with Draper outside of Parliament, he was “very sorry” to learn of his death. Draper was Public Administration Minister during the first PNM administration of Prime Minister Patrick Manning from 1991 to 1995.
