Girl accuses dentist of sexual misconduct

Up to late yesterday police were questioning a 52-year-old dentist who allegedly fondled a 16-year-old patient in his San Fernando office on Tuesday. Police sources said the dentist, originally from St Augustine, could not produce any  documents certifying he was a qualified dentist. Newsday understands the Cocoyea teenager had paid a previous visit to the dentist but was still experiencing problems.

The teenager said she made another appointment to see the doctor on Tuesday to have her tooth extracted. Around 8.45 am that day, she arrived at his office on the Naparima/Mayaro Road in Cocoyea, and was taken into the examination room. She told police the dentist squeezed her breasts and licked her face in the examination room. The teenager ran home and told her mother about the incident. WPC Moore of the Mon Repos Police Station is continuing investigations.
