Grande police seize gun-making equipment

TWO men and a woman will appear today before a Sangre Grande magistrate charged with the possession of firearms, ammunition, gun-making equipment, four two-way VHF radios, a high-powered telescope and possession of illegal army camouflage uniform and cloth for making camouflage uniforms. The men were arrested during an exercise co-ordinated by Senior Supt Bastien in the Wallenville, Guaico village area between the hours of 3 am and 10 am yesterday. Police also seized a quantity of old guns used for parts to make guns. Nine other persons were arrested for drug possession and minor offences. They will also appear in court today.
