Fun day ends in death
A FUN DAY with his family ended tragically for a 27-year-old security guard who was killed in a vehicular accident in Marabella on Sunday night. Dead is Anderson Beepath, 27, of Union Park East, Marabella. According to police reports, at around 7.30 pm, Beepath was driving his car west along Union Road, Marabella. In the vicinity of Fens Furniture Store, he attempted to overtake two vehicles and his car collided head-on with a van travelling in the opposite direction. Beepath died on the spot. Police said the driver of the van, Andrew Ramkissoon, also of Marabella, escaped serious injury due to the vehicle’s air bag which ejected upon impact.
When Newsday visited Beepath’s home yesterday his common-law-wife, Suzette Paris, 34, broke down in tears and had to be comforted by her mother, Veda Brathwaite. Paris said Beepath, a father of three, spent most of the day at home “liming and making joke.” Recounting her last moments with Beepath, Paris sobbed: “He left in the evening to go by his mother. But when he came back I told him ‘Where yuh going again. Come lie down because yuh daughter sleeping.’” Paris said Beepath, sped off in his car and hours later she learned of his death. Ag Insp Cooper and Cpl Richardson of the Marabella Police Station are investigating.
