Man dragged by truck

A CUSTOMS broker was warded at San Fernando General Hospital in critical condition after he was caught beneath a truck and dragged along the road for a short distance Wednesday. Kevin Clifford, 37, of Harold Avenue in Vistabella, was reportedly repairing a three-tonne truck when it began to roll. A police report stated Clifford was lying under the truck around 11 am, trying to repair it at Union Park East, Marabella, near the Manny Ramjohn Stadium. Police said when the truck began to roll, Clifford became pinned beneath the truck. According to the report, he was dragged for three feet before the vehicle came to a stop. Residents nearby heard the man’s screams and rushed to his assistance. Police said they rescued him from under the vehicle and rushed him to hospital.
