3 hospitalised after La Romaine crash

Three persons are hospitalised following a head-on collision at Southern Main Road, La Romaine on Sunday afternoon. Police reports state that around 5.50 pm, Eddie Boodoo, 38, of Pond Street, La Romaine was driving his car north along Pond Street. As he turned left onto the Southern Main Road he collided with a red station wagon driven by Narood Pooran, 27, of Canaan Road, La Romaine.

On impact Boodoo was slammed against the steering wheel and his cousin, Prem Boodoo, 49, who was next to him in the front seat, received head injuries. Pooran, also received head injuries. The three injured men were rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where they were detained. PC Ramsamooj of the San Fernando Traffic Branch is investigating.
