Shame on you Carnival advertisers
THE EDITOR: I would like to denounce the disgraceful display of ‘flesh’ on the posters put up around the city. It is amazing how blind we are when it comes to money. We complain about the crime levels, about the kidnappings, the rapes, the indiscipline of our young people, yet who created it. I say the people who put up these posters, not the people who commit the crimes. What you sow is what you reap.
The business community (not all) the band leaders, the advertising agencies, they feed the masses this diet of lewdness and degradation for money, of course, and then they expect the people to be law abiding citizens. No way. I am afraid that people are paying the price for what they have sown, and they will have to answer to God for it. Don’t blame the people of Laventille for the crime situation in our country, blame the people whose God is money and who should know better. Leaders must set the example and then the masses will follow. Until then we are spinning top in mud. We have to start the change at the top.
