Body at UWI pushes murder toll to 50

THE UNIDENTIFIED body of a man was discovered in a savannah at the back of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Sports Club early yesterday. Reports revealed that around 7 am, security officers at UWI saw the body of a man, believed to be between 28 to 35 years old, with shoulder length hair and clad in short pants with a jacket over the head. The man, of East Indian descent, is believed to have been beaten to death. Track pants were found close to the body. Officers of the St Joseph CID were called to the scene and are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the body. This murder is the 50th for the year.
