Two-gun bandit stages hold-up

A MAN with two guns robbed a barbecue outlet in Duncan Village, San Fernando, on Thursday night, shooting a 28-year-old cashier before escaping with more than $1,000 in cash. According to a police report, Nigel Arjoon of First Street, Duncan Village, was conducting sales at J’s Barbecue around 10 pm, when a man walked into the premises and pointed two guns at him. The gunman shot Arjoon in his right leg before robbing him of $500. Police said the man then robbed five patrons of four cellular phones and $500. He then escaped on foot. Arjoon was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he was treated and warded in a stable condition. PC Teasdale of the San Fernando CID is investigating.
