No answer yet to BWIA question

Unable to reach a decision on BWIA, Cabinet yesterday re-ferred the vexed question of what to do with the national airline to yet another sub-committee of the Cabinet. The special sub-committee, which was appointed by the Prime Minister to consider the BWIA matter, is chaired by Dr Lenny Saith, Public Admin-istration Minister. Its membership includes Ken Valley, Dr Keith Rowley, Christine Sa-hadeo, Franklin Khan, Danny Montano and Attorney General John Jeremie.

The committee has been given no particular time frame to report back to the Cabinet, but Minister in the Minis-try of Finance, Conrad Enill, said the committee had been told that it was an urgent matter. Reminded that the BWIA matter had been placed before another Cabinet sub-committee, the Finance and General Purposes Co-mmittee, Enill stated that Government rec-ognised that it was a complex issue.
