Farmer’s son kidnapped

THE relatives of Vishan Singh, TT’s 12th kidnap victim for 2005, are blaming his close friend’s family for his abduction. Singh, 17, an accounts student at SBDC Accounting School, Eastern Main Road, Champs Fleurs was speaking to his girlfriend around 9 pm on Friday night in front of Mohammed’s Meat Shop, opposite Sitar Trace, Aranjuez when a silver car pulled up with three men. One of the men grabbed Vishan at gunpoint and drove off.

Relatives later received a demand for  $1 million for his release. When Sunday Newsday visited his Soohai Trace, Aranjuez home his parents were not able to speak but a relative confirmed that shortly after 8 am Vishan’s brother received a call from the kidnappers demanding $1 million for his release.
