‘Missing’ Tobago teen found

CONTRARY to radio news reports yesterday, the 13-year-old schoolgirl who reportedly went missing on Sunday, actually ran away from home and has since been found. An alarm was raised by the teen’s worried parents on Sunday afternoon, after she left home around midday saying she was going to Royal Castle fast-food restaurant in Scarborough and did not return home.

A private investigation by her father, with the help of a police associate, revealed that the girl was spotted with a tall, fair-skinned man in the Bagatelle area around 2 pm. However, a police officer spotted the teen walking through Scarborough around noon yesterday with a 26-year-old Trinidad male and immediately took them to the Scarborough Police Station for questioning. She was taken to the Scarborough Health Centre to determine if she had been involved in any sexual activity.
