Tobago man in court for murder

A 46-year-old handyman of Plymouth, Tobago, appeared in the Scarborough Magi-strates’ Court yesterday charged with the murder of a 24-year-old mother of one at Buccoo last Sunday night. Jomo Julien, also known as Colin, appeared before Senior Magistrate Annette McKenzie in the First Court on a charge of murdering Jiselle Grant. Grant was pronounced dead at the Scarborough Hospital after an alleged stabbing incident at her home around 11.30 pm Sunday. The accused was unrepresented and was not called on to plead as murder is an indictable offence for which bail is not granted. He will reappear in court on April 11.
