SHEPHERD LAID TO REST

A funeral service was yesterday held for the late Keith “Sheppy” Shepherd, Sunday Mirror editor, at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Port-of-Spain, after which his body was cremated at the crematorium in St James. The church was packed to capacity as members of the TnT News Centre, members of the Racing Commission, police officers, and members of Burokeets International attended the service.


Also in attendence were UWI principal Bhoe Tewarie, media personnel, family and friends. Member of Parliament, Winston Dookeran, and Minister of State in the Ministry of Community Development and Culture, Eddie Hart, paid tribute to the controversial Sunday Mirror editor. Pan arranger Len “Boogsie” Sharpe  and the Tabaquite Drummers played for the congregation. Father Titus Acpereli gave the eulogy.
