Two charged for Promenade murder

Two men, ages 27 and 21 of John John,  Laven-tille were charged yesterday with the shooting death of URP worker Oba Jones. Jones was shot dead at the Brian Lara Prome-nade on Thursday following an altercation be-tween two rival gangs. On Saturday, Director of Public Prosecutions Geoffrey Henderson gave instructions to Sgt Harvey Jawahir  to lay a charge of murder against the two men. A third man, also arrested on Thursday following the shooting death of Jones was charged with possession of a firearm and shooting with intent. The three will appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today.
