Wallerfield teenager grabbed by ‘soldiers’

A WALLERFIELD teenager yesterday became kidnap victim number 20 for 2005. According to reports, Ronald Bidasee, 19, was driving his father’s Prado vehicle along Moonan Road in Wallerfield around 8.30 am, when two vehicles — a white Ford Gia and a silver Nissan Almera — pulled in front of him.

The screaming man was dragged out of his car and shoved into the Almera, which sped away in full view of several eyewitnesses.

Two of the men in the Ford Gia were dressed in army uniform, while two in the silver vehicle were dressed in police camouflage tactical uniform.

When Newsday visited the family’s Block 3 home in Wallerfield, the victim’s father Ramsaran Bidasee, a farmer, was unable to comment.

Anti-Kidnapping Squad officers refused to divulge any information. No ransom demands had been made up to press time.
