Senseless violence can cause loss of life

THE EDITOR: Even though we see and read daily of the high level of violence throughout our lands, some neighbours feel that it is appropriate behaviour to issue threats of violence and arm themselves with a knife and cucumber in hand when coming outside to handle a grievance where the other party is so highly agitated, due to provocations that they are responsible for. Can you imagine, your neighbour fighting to park in front of your house saying it’s the government’s road, and hitting/bouncing your new brand vehicle not once, but twice? We all know which one of the above weapons can cause loss of life. I would describe this shameful behaviour as a blatant disregard for one’s life and well being for others.
