BURNT BODY FOUND IN STOLEN CAR AT D’ABADIE


ARIMA police are investigating the discovery of a burnt body found in a stolen car and are calling on the public to assist.


According to reports, around 6.45 am yesterday two men searching for scrap iron at La Resource Road, North West, D’Abadie in an area known as ‘Tonco Bean’ stumbled on the recently burnt car with the body lying in the back seat.


The body which was completely burnt had no identifying marks and police could not say if it was male or female. They said however it appeared to be a small person, who was around five feet, seven inches tall.


The police are also calling on anyone with information on a missing person to contact the Arima police.


The car PBL 8128 was traced to Debbie Mohammed and Andy Jagroosingh of Chaguanas. They had reported it stolen on May 25 in Chaguanas. The vehicle is now at the Malabar Police Station.


Visiting the scene were ACP Protain, ASP Badal, Insps Daniel and Abraham, Sgts Hamilton and Bauxhill, Cpls Lucas and Joseph. Sgt Hamilton is continuing inquiries.
