Fever at lip-sync show

THE EDITOR: The finals of the Lypsync Fever Competition ended in controversy last Thursday August 25 at the Mas Camp Pub. The show was of a very high standard and the organisers should be proud. The judges however, performed very poorly and those in charge must improve the quality in that regard.

The placings were so controversial that many patrons left the venue dissatisfied. The main casualty of the competition was Ceronne Berkeley who gave a flawless and magnificent interpretation of Selena’s "Cumbia Medley." The massive crowd went into shock when the winner of the "People’s Choice" award who performed in position #1 was placed 6th. Another victim was Alicia Wellington. She gave us a ver powerful performance of "Maybe" by Three Degrees. She definitely should have occupied the first or second position, but fifth? Give me a break!
