Minshall receives Republic Day award

VETERAN mas man Peter Minshall, yesterday, received the 12th Republic Day award from President George Maxwell Richards at a function at President’s House. President Richards congratulated Citizens for a Better Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) in its choice of awardee this year. The organisation is the initiator of the awards and chaired by Harrack Balramsingh. President Richards described Minshall as a stalwart and cultural icon, who has made a distinguished contribution to the country.


“His artistic brilliance cannot be denied and I applaud his work, as he has helped to define our country’s space on the world map of art and culture which are of great importance in the development of any country.” The President also encouraged CBTT to continue their mission of goodwill in helping the less fortunate.
