Oma Panday’s mom dies at 76

MOTHER of the wife of the Opposition Leader, Basdeo Panday, died on Friday while at a nursing home in South Trinidad. UNC leader, Basdeo Panday yesterday told Sunday Newsday that Polly Ramkissoon, 76, of Tarouba Road, Tarouba, mother of his wife, Oma, was ailing for some time and was recently warded at the Surgi-Med nursing home in San Fernando.  He added that Ramkissoon passed away peacefully around midday on Friday. Panday said that his wife, Oma, was doing fine.  She was however, unavailable for comment. The funeral will take place today at the Ramkissoon’s residence at around 11 am and then to the Shore of Peace, Mosquito Creek, South Oropouche for cremation.
