ProbleMs with texTbook rentals

THE EDITOR: I will like the Ministry of Education to rectify this book problem that I am having with South East Port-of- Spain school.

On the booklist, we were told that some of the books will be supplied by a rental programme.

The parents were called in to sign a contract before.

The books were distributed, yet the books have not been given to these children, the teachers are giving homework form the book and there’s no book to do homework.

How is the work to be done? How long has school reopened and I still cannot understand what is causing the delay. This is a very frustrating situation and its ridiculously overbearing because my child’s homework is not done properly, but to no surprise this school is selling assignment books and is demanding you purchase it by next week.

These jokers we have for teachers need to be fired for taking these children’s education for granted. So could Mrs Manning do her job and check out the problem because it’s poor people’s children who depend on these books for their education.
