THE EDITOR: The Ministry of Public Administration and Information would like to respond to a letter to the newspaper by Ms Keisha Sealy, recipient of an Additional National Scholarship. On behalf of the Ministry, I would like to thank Ms Sealy for her feedback and offer our sincere apologies for the inconvenience which she is suffering. In the same way that we expect our awardees to fulfil their contractual obligations to Trinidad and Tobago, we at the Ministry are working assiduously to ensure that every attempt is made to satisfy the conditions of our contracted agreement with our scholars. We are working closely with the Ministries of Planning and Development and Finance to ensure that our scholarship winners do not endure undue hardship. One of the Ministry of Public Administration and Information’s major strategic objectives is the improvement of services to our stakeholders, you the people of Trinidad and Tobago. All scholars are asked to note that all outstanding allowances for September will be paid by September 30, 2005.
