A DOUBLE STANDARD SOCIETY
THE EDITOR: I was sincerely surprised to see an advertisement in the Sunday’s edition of the Newspaper, announcing that "Chippendales" would be coming to Trinidad and Tobago. I am saddened by the fact that our society continues to import immorality. There has been controversy in recent past regarding striptease in clubs. It was my belief that this was an illegal act. So just how can these people be allowed to come and perform, is a mystery to me. Is it because they cater to a particular class? We need to be aware that there are younger people looking on at us and they are learning from our actions. I think women need to respect themselves and as a nation, consider carefully the message we are sending. SEBASTIEN HENRY Fyzabad
