US Embassy advises Americans to stay away from PoS

The United States Embassy has warned Americans to avoid downtown Port-of-Spain between October 9 to 12.

The advisory was issued as the week draws closer to the ninth.

The three bombs went off in Port-of-Spain on July 11 on Frederick Street, then August 10 on George Street, and again on September 10 at KFC’s Independence Square outlet.

American citizens currently in Port-of-Spain were also advised to remain vigilant and review their security position on a regular basis.

The advisory was circulated on the US State Department’s Web site.
