Bless you Mr Manning

THE EDITOR: This is an open letter of appreciation to Prime Minister Patrick Manning from the Small Business Community. Thank you, Mr Manning for giving us the opportunity to access new business and increase our revenue through the Fair Share Programme. It is a blessing that all Government Contracts under $1 million will be reserved for small businesses. Thank you Mr manning for the facilities provided by NEDCO. If NEDCO did not take a chance on me and grant me the financing and training that the big banks refused to give me, I would not have my small business today.

Thank you Mr Manning, for reducing the tax on our small business profits from five percent to zero percent for a period of five years. Now I can provide for my family. Thank you Mr Manning for exempting the gross sales of our small businesses from the business levy for a period of five years. This gives me further incentive to work harder to expand my business. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr Prime Minister for levelling the playing field — now everybody, big or small has the chance to make a decent living in Trinidad and Tobago.
