POWDER MAGAZINE WALKOVER COMING
THE EDITOR: I write to you, reference a letter that was carried in the daily newspapers headlined "Residents Need A Walkover, Mr, Valley" and feel that the facts should be stated for the general public, and in particular the residents of Powder Magazine. The representative for the area, Mr Kenneth Valley, has on a number of occasions visited Powder Magazine and heard the concerns of the residents for a walkover. These concerns were passed on to the relevant Ministry for attention, as the representative himself was also concerned about the safety of the people that live at Powder Magazine, and those who have to cross the busy Diego Martin Highway. I can now report, having spoken with the Ministry of Works and Transport, that the design will be sent out for public tender.
