Coach found dead
Police are investigating the possible murder of a secondary school coach whose decomposed body was found in his house at La Brea yesterday. The deceased has been identified as Oliver Lambert, 39, employed at the Vessigny High School. The discovery was made at about 2 pm yesterday after workers at a company, located in close proximity to Lambert’s home, telephoned the police about a foul stench emanating from the house. On arrival at the crime scene at Bassa Hall, detectives reportedly found Lambert’s decomposed body lying face down on a bed. The body was clad in a short pants. Police said the body appeared to have stab wounds. Police sources said Lambert was last seen alive on Friday morning. A district medical officer viewed the body and ordered its removal to the Forensic Science Centre where a post- mortem is expected to be performed today. La Brea police are continuing investigations.
