We must not curse, steal, cheat
THE EDITOR: I turned nine on November 2, and attend St Theresa Girls’ RC Primary School. So far as a Standard Three student, I have always been concerned about news reports of bad behaved students in school. At St Theresa’s the teachers are also very concerned. Doing the right thing is a preoccupation of both staff and students. The PTA also plays its part. I believe that if all concerned played their different parts properly, indiscipline in all schools would stop. All adults, all churches, all police officers, all government persons, all leaders, all families and businesses must work together. We, the children, must be taught to pray, respect God and our elders. We must learn to talk and not fight. We must learn to avoid stealing, cursing, cheating and being hostile to our friends. If we learn and do all these things we will have better schools and better future adults. SAMUELLA SMITH Port-of-Spain
