THE EDITOR: Congratulations to our TT footballers for a job well done. I must also commend our Police Service for their level of preparedness and courtesy in dealing with the traffic in St James and on Ariapita Avenue. I have never seen them out in such numbers for Hosay or Children’s Carnival; even on the back streets, they were at every intersection. Keep up the good work. Now suppose everyone contributes 10 percent of what they get paid for not working Thursday (or even a $5, or what they would have paid in transport), towards TT football — yuh ent think we could pay Beenhakker and team until the World Cup next year?
