A pavement for the New Year

THE EDITOR: It is really disgusting to see the sad state of Bamboo No 2, Main Road whenever I have to visit there to get parts for my vehicle. Brother Inshan Ishmael has been pleading for the improvement of the road by requesting a pavement and he is right, for people also use the road and a pavement is a necessity. It is the duty of our government to help our people wherever limb, life and work are entailed. Why must a citizen be in Hospital dying because of the lack of a pavement? A child bawled, “Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!” when he saw his grandfather picture in the hospital.

I am pleading publicly to the media to visit Bamboo No 2 Main Road and highlight my plea to our caring government. I know our dynamic Prime Minister has not seen the plight of the citizens/children especially who have to walk and pray to be alive. Please, Mr Minister of Works, visit Bamboo No 2 Main Road and give us a pavement to walk on. There is a school here and this is a dire need.
