Senator Sahadeo should resign

The Editor: I urge Senator Christine Sahadeo to resign her Cabinet post as a sign of respect for the family of murdered medical student  Mark Rattan. It was reported that the goodly Senator is a close friend of the Rattan family. I am sure that with her qualifications she can get a good job. Chrsitine Sahadeo is part of what is by a long way the worst Government in the history of Trinidad and Tobago. If we are to judge the PNM by numbers those numbers would  be 172, 229, 260 and 381 and counting. These are the number of murders for each of the years that they have been in office. While crime spirals, the Prime Minister can only speak of LNG train five, train X, methanol and ammonia. What is train X worth to Mark Rattan? What is methanol worth to Basdeo Sharma?

By every measure and by every standard of governance the Manning administration in which Sahadeo sits has failed and continues to fail. Trinidad and Tobago has been blighted and cursed since the royal edict of his excellency on December 24th 2001 and that curse continues to hang over the land like a black cloud. Naipaul was right, we are on the road to Haiti and Manning is the driver. I advise Chrsitine to resign as a sign of respect.
