Increasing presidential powers
THE EDITOR: If the objection of the Judiciary to being subject to the scrutiny of the Integrity Commission is:that it makes the Judiciary subject to the Executive which is contrary to the conventions of the "separation of powers," then may I suggest that the Integrity Commission be placed under the office of the President of the Republic, which, constitutionally, is above both the Judiciary and the Executive. This would, incidentally answer the call of those who see increased powers of the President as a necessary constitutional reform. IVOR ST HILL UK
