MDRT walks the talk
THE Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) believes in the philosophy of giving. So that from a regional point of view, over the past five years, MDRT has allocated grants of over US$200,000 for use in the Bahamas, Bermuda, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The disclosure was made by Larry G Gocool, Zone Chair — Caribbean at a recent meeting of the body, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and meant mainly for local members and aspiring members. MRDT is the premier organisation of insurance and financial professionals. Gocool said the grants go towards such projects as children’s homes, health care, housing, special olympics, poverty alleviation and children’s play parks. Gocool said Trinidad and Tobago was the recipient of three playgrounds, donated by the MDRT Foundation in conjunction with the Kids Around the World Organisation. The playgrounds are located at St Joseph, Maloney and Biche. The next meeting of MDRT will be held in San Diego, California later this year.
