Chanderpaul is a poor choice
THE EDITOR: The decision by the Selection Committee of the West Indies Cricket Board to continue with Shivnarine Chanderpaul as Captain is one that seems to fly in the face of conventional wisdom. With the upcoming tour of New Zealand and the World Cup of Cricket one would have thought this was the ideal time to appoint a new captain. The fact of the matter is that Mr Chanderpaul is obviously not up to the task of captaining the West Indies team. Added to this is his poor batting form which seems to be the result of the pressures of losing captains. I am sorry Joey, but your Selection Team got it all wrong on this occasion.
